What’s New?

Just like that, the year has come to an end! We had so many amazing memories, events we participated in and hosted, new people joined our Meco family, and so many more changes and new ventures. 2020 is going to be an amazing year, and we are so excited for what the future holds!

We celebrated several Meco birthdays this past month including:

• Heidi Heatherly, Office and Accounting Manager
• Justin Davis, Service Technician at our Greenville Branch
• Jeremy Youngblood, Service Technician at our Augusta Branch
• Ken Rogers, Service Dispatcher for both Branches 

We have a few job updates that we are finally able to share with you! We finished up a job at YRC as well as another Tank Job at Doctor’s Hospital. We had a few other smaller jobs as well this month like a tank cleaning at Lovett Trucking.

One of the most exciting things that we accomplished this month was purchasing a secondary warehouse across the street from our Augusta Branch and launched a new division of Meco, called Environmental Petroleum Services! We are so excited to remodeling our new space. The expansion of space and an additional division of our Parent Company will provide us more opportunities to carry more equipment, have more room to streamline processes, offer more services to our clients to meet all their site needs both for service, install and now environmental! We can’t wait to see this division take off and watch our companies continue to grow and expand as we move into 2020!

November came and left just as quickly as October did! We have started to slowing down as we move towards celebrating the Holiday Season in December. However, we had a handful of fun things happen this past month!

October came and left so quickly, and it looks as though November will too! We have started to slow down this month and are looking forward to wrapping up the year on a high note in December. October; however, was jam-packed with so many events and updates to share!

We attended the NACS Tradeshow in Atlanta, Georgia on October 1st-4th. All of our Manufacturers were there with both current products and new products that have been launched or are launching next year. We are so excited for all the new technology that is coming out in our industry. We even met Chuck Norris! We are sharing these new products and technology on our Facebook page as well as our Twitter, Instagram, and Linked In, so if you haven’t followed us on any of these platforms yet, you are missing out on what’s new with us and so much good info that might benefit you! We will also start featuring them here in the near future as well. 

The Sunbelt AG Trade Show was October 15th-17th, and we set up a booth there again this year. It was another great time of connecting with some of our Manufacturer Reps as well as see familiar faces and meet new people! We can’t wait to join them again next year.

We also had our First Customer Appreciation Cookout at our Greenville Branch, October 23rd. It was great weather and an excellent time of fellowship with many of our friends and learning with our Manufacturer Reps for GPI, Champion, OPW, Husky & Zeeline. We look forward to this event again next year!

We also had many Meco birthdays this past month including:

Lastly, we attended SCPMA’s Supplier Appreciation event on October 25th! It was another wonderful time of fellowship with many of our friends in the industry with shooting sporting clays followed by a BBQ dinner and awards given out

 Last week was the annual NACS Show for 2019 in Atlanta! We had such a great time of fellowship, learning, and growth. With it being the biggest Tradeshow in the Southeast, it is no surprise that there was so much stuff to check out! 

There were so many new food products, oil and petroleum equipment and parts, as well as technology we got to see. Some of these products included:

• Bravo SumpTite Sumps
• New Pumps from Piusi
• Carbon Self Checkouts from Verifone
• Forecourt Imaging Products from LSI
• And many more!

We cannot believe how fast August and September flew by! We have a full calendar for the last three months of the year, including jobs we’re doing, hiring, trade shows, industry news and more to share with you!

We had our First Annual Training Day for the Company on Friday, September 13th. It was an excellent time of fellowship, learning and growth for the entire company. We also were able to recognize outstanding and long-term commitment from employees who have been with Meco for over 2o years! We are thankful for them and the rest of our family here who strive to make us better each day. We are not perfect but are always striving to be better today than we were yesterday. Our motto is “Service makes the Difference”, and it is something we are striving to be excellent in daily.

We have a few events coming up this month that we are so excited about, and we hope many of you will attend these as well!

It’s Monday, and we hope you’ve had a great weekend! We have not had many updates here recently because our team has been so busy the past two months planning for our first annual Meco Team Training Day this Friday! This is something new for our company, and we are so excited to continue this event for years to come. We believe it will benefit not only the entire Meco Team but also all of the customers we serve.

We will be entirely shut down for the day, and no service technicians will be available until after 5 pm. This will be a great time for us to learn, grow, and unify our efforts to better serve YOU! Business will resume the following Monday. Have a great week everyone!

We have had many jobs this summer, and we are excited to see some of them come to a close. We had several Jet Stores that had dispenser upgrades, tank jobs in Higgston, GA. We also completed a ground up job for a Sprint store in Aiken, SC as well as a project at Cayce Quarry for Martin Marietta. Our Greenville branch customized camouflage tanks for a hunting club in South  Carolina – needless to say, we’ve had a busy summer!

Happy Friday from all of us here at Meco! We cannot believe May has already come and gone! We are into Baseball Season with the Augusta Green Jackets and Meco Mustangs! We have a full calendar for the summer and with the warmer weather, we’ll have more job updates to share with you soon!

Our sales brochures have been sent and are printing, and we will have them in four weeks! This project has been a labor of love and had many hours poured into it. We can’t wait to share it with you very soon!

In less than two weeks we are hosting our Annual Customer Appreciation Picnic! It will be held at the Augusta Sales Counter on Wednesday, June 12th from 11-2pm. We have enjoyed this event for the past several years, and we look forward to it each year! There will be food and drinks provided, along with grab bags, demos from our Manufacturer Reps, raffles and more! If you plan on attending, please RSVP at (706) 724-7603 by June 7th at the latest. We hope to see many of you there!
